Bhutan is a small country in south Asia, completely surrounded by land portions of China to the north and India to the south, west and east. This spiritually developed land is globally known as the ‘land of thunder dragons’. It is not clear where the name of Bhutan came from, although there are sayings about this. Some says it came from the combination of two Sanskrit words ‘bhota’ and ‘anta’, meaning the end of Tibet. Some says the name derived from Tibetan word ‘Bod’, which was an endonym of Tibet. This small country, living peacefully amongst of the Himalayas, is the eighth happiest country in the world and the happiest one in Asia.
