Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 : NJP Rly Stn / IXB Airport – Darjeeling (2130mtrs) (About 98 kms / 4 hrs)

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & transfer to Darjeeling. On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.

DAY 2 : Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outerview). Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

DAY 3 : Darjeeling – Pelling (2100mtrs) (109 Kms / 6 hrs)

This morning after breakfast transfer to Pelling (6,100 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.

DAY 4 : Pelling Sightseeing – Yuksom (1850mtrs)

After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. Visit - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins Palace, Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Overnight stay at first capital of Sikkim(Yuksom).

DAY 5 : Yuksom – Gangtok(1697mtrs) (120 kms / 6 hrs

After breakfast transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.). Visit Norbugang Coronation Throne and Karthok Lake.Enroute visit Tashiding Monastery and Tathagathasthal (Buddha Park at Ravangla). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

DAY 6 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.)(FOREIGNER ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO BEYOND TSOMGO LAKE) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) Which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will be providing alternate sightseeing.)

DAY 7 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing.

After breakfast start your full day local sightseeing. Visit World famous Rumtek Monastery and botanical Garden . On the way back visit Do Drul Chorten and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Handicraft Center, Bakthang Fall’s, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok and Flower show. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

DAY 8 : Gangtok to Kalimpong Sightseeing (1500mtrs) (57 kms / 2 ½ hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kalimpong visit, Deolo Hills, Science City, Mangal Dham, Golf Course Garden, Durpin Dara Monastery & Pine view Flowers Nurseries. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.

DAY 9 : Kalimpong – Phuntsholing(Altitude 300m) (125 kms / 5 hrs)

After breakfast Check-out from hotel and take the scenic drive through Tea Garden and Rice field. Before entering to Phuntsholing, we clear the immigration formalities in India side(Jaigoan), where we will meet the the Bhutanese representative and after clearing, We will get inside the Phuntsholing check in at the Hotel.Evening free.

DAY 10 : Phuntsholing “ Thimphu(Altitude 2,320m) (180 km, approx 6 hours drive)

After breakfast drive to Thimphu. En route stop at Kharbandi Gompa, the beautiful monastery . Visit Simtokha Dzong, the On arrival, in Thimphu check-into the hotel. The capital town of Bhutan without a traffic light. Evening explore Thimphu. Overnight at the hotel .

DAY 11 : Thimphu

After breakfast, drive to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang).. the largest statue in the country and then walk around and take a glimpse of the valley. Then, visit King's Memorial Chorten . Construction of this landmark was the idea of Bhutan’s third king, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuk (“the father of modern Bhutan”) who has wished to erect monument to world peace and prosperity. Completed in 1974 after his untimely death, it serves both as a memorial to the Late King and as a monument to peace. Afterwards visit to Textile and Folk Heritage Museums, Post lunch, visit the National Library and the Institute for Zorig Chusum (commonly known as the Painting School) . Then, drive to Takin Preserve. The Takin is national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and goat. Later in the afternoon visit Trashichhoedzong, “ Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, it was reconstructed in 1960s in traditional Bhutanese manner, without nails or architectural plans. Evening time can be spent strolling through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar, Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu. (Alt 2,320m)

DAY 12 : Thimphu “ Punakha & Wangduephodrang (75 km, approx. 3 hours drive)

After breakfast, drive to Punakha & Wangduephodrang across Dochu La. Located at a height of 3,088m/ 10,130 ft, Dochula is a scenic location. If skies are clear, it may be possible to see the mountains including Gangkar puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m. Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong or (Palace of Great Happiness), built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, at the junction of the Phochu and Mochu rivers. Later in the day excursion to Chimi Lhakhang. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha / Wangduephodrang. (Altitude 1,300m)

DAY 13 : Punakha & Wangduephodrang “ Paro (125 kms, approx. 4 hours drive)

After breakfast drive back to Paro descending back down from Dochu La, follow the way back up the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys, before crossing through Paro Town towards the north end of the valley. Later after checking into hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), Overnight at the hotel in Paro. (Altitude 2,280m)

DAY 14 : Paro(Altitude 2,280m)

After breakfast excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx 5 hours round trip walk). It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor Evening explore around main street and market area.. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

DAY 15 : Depart Paro

After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for flight to your onward destination. Our representative will help you with exit formalities and then bid you farewell.
